PrintThe 2014 CHS-MC Golf Tournament will be held on September 9, 2014 at Bridges Golf Course. The Committee has added many more games and contests for the golfers to enjoy. We need more volunteers than ever to show our golfers how much we appreciate their support of the Chapter’s programs and services.

We try to give volunteers as many choices as we can to help them to fit volunteering for the tournament into their day. We have split the day into two shifts; morning and afternoon. Volunteer will have the opportunity to pick the job of their choice (as long as we can fill all the positions)! Volunteers will be sent an orientation in advance of the tournament and specific instructions for the job they chose.

The morning shift, 9 am arrival time to noon, is looking for a total of 8 volunteer to help the planning committee get ready and serve the golfers as they arrive. This includes jobs like helping the Hole Sponsors get ready, registration, running the Putting Contest and setting up and preparing lunch for the golfers.

The morning and afternoon shift will be welcome to have a hot dog lunch with the golfers.

The second shift is from 11:15 am to 5:00 – 5:30 pm. We are looking for 12 volunteers. The afternoon volunteers will work out on the golf course at contests and games and a photographer. We will need cart drivers to take out volunteers to offer a break to those working at holes. We are looking for friendly volunteers who enjoy the outdoors and who will be great hosts/hostesses at these holes.

Afternoon shift volunteers are welcome to stay for the golfer banquet.

We hope you can come and help! The golfers who have come in previous years, are a pleasure to look after. If you are interested, please contact the Chapter office at 204.775.8625 or by email at info@hemphiliamb.ca.  We will put you in contact with the tournament’s volunteer coordinator, Katherine Cameron, and she will send you the volunteer positions to pick from.

If possible, please respond by July 28th so that we can have time to send out orientations.
