CodeRouge Ambassadors Kiersten Neufeld and Milena Pirnat invite Chapter women and their daughters with an inherited bleeding disorder, to a CodeRouge Breakfast Meeting. The meeting will start at 9:30 am in the Fireside Room at the R.A. Steen Community Center, 980 Palmerston Ave.This meeting will be important to women with Von Willebrand’s disease, rare bleeding disorders and symptomatic carriers of hemophilia.

Dr. Patricia McCusker MD, FRCPC  will be presenting on topics such as the bleeding scores that are being developed, quality of life for people  with vWD patients,  the challenges in diagnosis of vWD and research being done looking at alternative methods for dealing with menorrhagia rather than birth control pills or DDAVP. There will also be a panel of Chapter women who will share their experiences living with an inherited bleeding disorder. The Chapter will have a display of reference material to take away and the latest CodeRouge materials.

We are excited to share how the last CodeRouge event had a positive impact on some of our members. We hope that the women who attend learn something new about their bleeding disorder, learn they are not alone and meet some new people!
