lovmehepCOn the most recent financial sufficiency review, the actuaries retained by the Joint Committee and the federal government expressed the opinion that the Trust Fund is sufficient to meet the expected needs of Class Members and Family Class Members and there is a surplus. The surplus is estimated to be between $236 million to $256 million. The Joint Committee will be making an application to the Courts to request that all or a portion of the surplus be allocated in favour of Class Members and Family Class Members. The Joint Committee wants input on the areas of the settlement that class members feel fall short and how they think the surplus should be used.

We are surveying our members with the objective of providing a collective view and to get a sense of the areas where a consensus might exist. This survey is destined to CHS members who are Class Members and Family Class Members of the 1986-1990 Hepatitis C Settlement Agreement.

Please complete this survey by Monday September 7, 2015 after which time it will be closed.
